MAW is an annual event that recognizes the contribution of manufacturing to Georgia’s economy. An important part of this event is the Student Design Competition, in which students from across Georgia submit artwork depicting the importance of manufacturing to their and communities. From these, three winners in each of three categories are chosen.  Categories include: elementary students – placemat designs; middle school students – poster designs; and high school students – T-shirt designs.

Manufacturers in the small, medium, and large categories are recognized at the luncheon for their contribution to the state’s economy and their communities.  Jim Lientz, Chief Operating Officer for the State of Georgia, served as keynote speaker.
