DeKalb Technical College Receives Donations for Health & Human Services Program

Medical Necessities of Decatur, GA, recently donated medical uniforms and equipment for use by DeKalb Technical College’s Health and Human Services (HHS) department. In the spirit of the company’s motto, “we care for people who care for people,” Herb Jackson, Operations and Purchasing Manager, was told by his Vice President of Operations, Greg Hunt, to donate the items to a deserving school. The items which include scrubs in sizes from XS to 5X in a variety of colors, including pants, tops, jackets, dresses, skirts, and lab coats, and shoes, as well as instruments, scissors, and stethoscopes were excess for Medical Necessities but will become uniforms for HHS students at DeKalb Tech or gifts for graduating students. “We are fortunate to have received these items,” says Health & Human Services Department Chair Elaine Williams. “This donation will mean a lot to our students and to the department. We may have a shopping day where each student will be given one or two sets of scrubs to wear while in their program.”
