Warranty

If a DeKalb Tech graduate or their employer sees a need to file a claim under the Technical Education Warranty, they should submit a written request to the Vice President of Academic Affairs with the following information:

  1. The graduate's name
  2. Student Number
  3. Program of Study
  4. Dates of Attendance
  5. Description of Deficiency

The Vice President of Academic Affairs will review the claim. If approved, the student and/or faculty member and the Registrar will be notified. The Registrar will register the student with the coding approved by the Data Center, notify the Financial Aid/Business Office and the IT Department.

If denied, the Vice President of Academic Affairs will notify the student and/or faculty member. The Technical Education Warranty applies to any DeKalb Technical College graduate who is employed in the field of his/her training and is in effect for a period of two years after graduation.
