The Technical College System of Georgia offers the following guarantee to business and industry partners:
“If one of our graduates educated under a standard program and his/her employer finds that the graduate is deficient in one or more competencies as defined in the standards, the technical college will retrain the employee at no instructional cost to the employee or the employer.”
This guarantee is in effect for a period of two years after graduation.
If a DeKalb Tech graduate or their employer sees a need to file a claim under the Technical Education Warranty, they should submit a written request to the Vice President of Academic Affairs with the following information:
The Vice President of Academic Affairs will review the claim. If approved, the student and/or faculty member and the Registrar will be notified. The Registrar will register the student with the coding approved by the Data Center, notify the Financial Aid/Business Office and the IT Department.
If denied, the Vice President of Academic Affairs will notify the student and/or faculty member. The Technical Education Warranty applies to any DeKalb Technical College graduate who is employed in the field of his/her training.
