Areas of Support

DeKalb Technical College is widely recognized—on the local, state, and national levels —as a quality educational institution featuring services in DeKalb, Rockdale, Newton, and Morgan counties. With more than 18,420 credit and noncredit students last year, we certainly recognize the importance of private giving by our friends, alumni, and area business partners. DeKalb Technical College places great value on excellence in education with the fundamental goal of producing a highly skilled and well-educated workforce. We appreciate all you are able to do to facilitate this process.

Comprehensive Fund

The comprehensive fund is an unrestricted fund, which the DTC Foundation will use to help provide needed resources for the College and its programs and services.

Strategic-Initiative Funds

Newton Center and Public Service & Safety Academy (PSSA)

DTC is working to fulfill the lease-purchase obligation for the Newton Center and to provide renovations, equipment, and instructional resources for a new Public Service and Safety Academy and other programs at the Newton Center.

Regional Transportation Training Center (RTTC)

The RTTC offers a full range of training for transport, transit, and transfer/distribution related jobs; however, additional equipment, paving, and a new facility with classrooms, labs, and high-bays are needed.

Hospitality and Tourism

DTC needs instructional resources to initiate hospitality and tourism programs using the new Renaissance Conference Center on the Clarkston Campus and facilities at the Newton Center for students to practice hospitality skills.

Literacy, GED, and International Education

DTC plans to expand facilities for adult and international education in DeKalb County and establish a Morgan County Adult Learning Center.

Rockdale Career Academy Partnership

DTC is seeking resources to expand our partnership with the Rockdale Career Academy to offer dual enrollment programs during the day and technical programs for adults in the evening in Rockdale County.

Healthcare Training

DTC plans to expand healthcare and biotech training by renovating space at both the Clarkston Campus and Newton Center, offering programs at the Rockdale Career Academy, and offering dual enrollment programs.
